Syntax:
DROP INDEX 'table1.index1' [ ,... ]
table1
The table in which the indexed column is located.
index1
The name of the index to be dropped.

An Index can be removed using the DROP INDEX command.

Examples

Code:
DROP INDEX Students.ClstdIndex_Name_FF10;
Output:
The clustered index has been dropped.
Index (Id = 2) is being rebuilt.
Index (Id = 3) is being rebuilt.
Index (Id = 4) is being rebuilt.
Explanation:

This example removes the index, ClstdIndex_Name_FF10, from the 'Students' table.
